About Dr. Olsen

Dr. Olsen's mission is to provide quality orthodontics so that his patients receive the best possible care in the areas of dental and facial aesthetics, functional occlusion, oral health and overall health. He is also dedicated to the comfort of his patients.

Dr. Olsen attended Brigham Young University and earned a Bachelor of Science in zoology. After college, Dr. Olsen moved with his family to Indiana for his dental education. He attended four years of dental school and received a DDS with high distinction.

Following dental school, Dr. Olsen was accepted into an orthodontic residency at Indiana University. He studied a wide variety of orthodontic techniques while gaining experience in correction of developmental problems, facial and dental esthetics, TMJ problems and cases requiring jaw surgery. After 25 months of specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, he received a certificate as an orthodontic specialist and a Masters of Science in Dentistry. While earning his degrees, Dr. Olsen performed research in biomaterials and orthodontic diagnosis.

During his academic career Dr. Olsen earned numerous academic awards including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Certificate of High Distinction, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Dental Student Award, the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Excellence in Academic Achievement Award, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Outstanding Student Award.

Dr. Olsen and his wife, Carolyn, have four children. They enjoy a number of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. They are active in sports and enjoy raising farm animals.
